Elizabeth Mather

Elizabeth was born in March 1862 in Pilkington.¹

Elizabeth's father was John Mather and her mother was Margaret Ann Seal. Her paternal grandparents were James Chadwick Mather and Sarah Charlton. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Charlton, James, Alexis, Sarah, Alice and Margaret A. She was the fifth oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 59 on December 12th, 1921 in Whitefield.²

- Elizabeth's aunt Sarah of Broomfield left her estate to Sarah Ann Mather, and so did Elizabeth. Maybe the two sisters wee living together.
