Eliza was born in 1879 in Little Bolton.¹

Birth Notes

Eliza's father was John Mather and her mother was Eliza Horrobin. Her paternal grandparents were <unknown> and Mary Mather. John Mather and Jane Welsby were her grandparents through her father's adoption. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, James, John, Harry, Mary, Jane, Sarah and Ada. Eliza and Jane were twins. She died at the age of 1 in 1880 in Halliwell.¹
