  Note: Elizabeth baptised in 1745, so Betty probably died an infant.

Betty's father was Ralph Mather and her mother was Ann Anderton. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Kellett. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, James, Ralph, Ann, Elizabeth and Mary. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
