Ann was born in 1736 in Anderton and her baptism took place on May 2nd, 1736 at St. Wilfred (Standish).¹

Birth Notes

Ann's father was Ralph Mather and her mother was Ann Anderton. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Kellett. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, James, Ralph, Betty, Elizabeth and Mary. She was the second oldest of the seven children.
