Benjamin was a House Painter in Little Bolton in 1841. He died in 1847. Perhaps he fell of his ladder!
Baptism record shows Benjamin was the twin brother of Mary, mother is Mary Mather, a spinster. He could be one of our family, as in Little Bolton and buried Walmsley. However, a baptism at Radcliffe suggests otherwise! We need to see his grave!
In 1841, Benjamin Mather (25) was a House Painter in Kay Street, living with William (also a house painter) and Mary Chalinor (both 30).
In 1843, Benjamin appears to have married Mary Minks in Liverpool (as also shown as a painter and no other Benjamin Mather in Liverpool). This is the only registered marriage of a Benjamin Mather (1840-1860)
