Miles was a neighbour of Peter Madther.
Miles and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on March 30th, 1828 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).5 They had three sons and three daughters, named Benjamin, John, James, Mary, Mary and Isabella. There are no more children. Mary and Benjamin were twins.
