Ann Mather

Ann was born in 1822 in Little Hulton and her baptism took place at St. Mary (Ellenbrook).¹

  Probably baptised at St. Mary (Ellenbrook), as were the other children, but no record

Ann's father was William Mather and her mother was Martha Tyldesley. Her paternal grandparents were Ellis Mather and Ann Thornley; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Tildsey and Martha Mort. She had four brothers and a sister, named Matthew, John, Edwin, Samuel and Alice. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 58 in December 1880 in Bolton.²
