Abraham Mather

Abraham was born on July 9th, 1880 in Edgworth and his baptism took place on May 12th, 1885 at St. Anne (Turton).¹²

Abraham's father was Jonathan Mather and his mother was Betsy Entwistle. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Mather and Elizabeth (Isabella) Holden. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, John, Mary, Alice, Esther and Jane. He was the fifth oldest of the seven known children. He died at the age of 80 in July 1960 in Rochdale.³
