Abraham was born on October 1st, 1774 in Bolton delivered by Manchester CoE BMB (1541-1812) and his baptism took place on November 12th, 1774 at Bank Street Unitarian conducted by Reverend Philip Holland.1 2  Abraham's father was Abraham Mather and his mother was Alice Rothwell.  His paternal grandparents were Peter Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Cranshaw. He had two sisters named Margaret and Margaret.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Abraham, Richard and Jenny.  He died at 7 months old in May 1775 in Bolton.  He was buried on May 22nd, 1775 at St. Peter's (Bolton).3
