Richard Mather

Richard was born on March 21st, 1765 in Bolton and his baptism took place on April 7th, 1765 at Bank Street Unitarian conducted by Reverend Philip Holland.¹²

Richard's father was Abraham Mather and his mother was Elizabeth Saxton. His paternal grandparents were Peter Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Cranwhaw. He had a brother and a sister, named Abraham and Jenny. He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Abraham, Margaret and Margaret. He died at the age of 3 in January 1769 in Bolton. His burial was on January 26th, 1769 at Turton Chapel.³
