Mary Mason

Mary was born in January 1863 in Sharples and her baptism took place on April 5th, 1863 at St. Paul's (Astley Bridge).¹²

Mary's father was James Mason and her mother was Ann Mather. Her maternal grandparents were James Mather and Tootel. She had four brothers and a sister, named James, John, William, Joseph and Elizabeth. She was the third oldest of the six children. She had a half-sister named Mary. She died at the age of 2 in 1865 in Sharples. Her burial was on November 14th, 1865 at St. Paul's (Astley Bridge).³¹
