In 1841, James Mason (8) was with his parents Joseph and Betsy Mason (both 35) at New House, Astley Bridge
In 1851, James Mason (17) was with his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Mason at 95 Blackburn Street, Little Bolton.
10 Aug 1856, James Mason, a mangler of Sharples, son of Joseph Mason a labourer married Elizabeth Entwistle, daughter of John Entwistle, a weaver at St Peter's, Bolton.
In Q4 1856, a few months after they married James and Elizabeth had a daughter Mary Jane. Both mother and daughter died.
20 Nov 1858 James Mason, a mangler of Sharples, son of Joseph Mason a labourer married Ann Mather, daughter of James Mather, a farmer at St George's, Little Bolton.
James and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on August 10th, 1856 at St. Peter's (Bolton) by Curate W H Coates and witnessed by John Blackley & Thomas Bromiley.5
