Sarah's father was John Lomax and her mother was Betty Chadwick.  Her paternal grandparents were James Lomax and Mary Taylor. She had a sister named Ann.  She was the younger of the two children. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, John, Mary, Maria and Eliza.  She died at the age of 3 in March 1793 in Bolton.  She was buried on March 13th, 1793 at St. Peter's (Bolton).²
