John Lomax

John was born in 1836 in Breightmet.¹   John's father was Richard Lomax and his mother was Isabel (Isabella) Crompton.  His paternal grandparents were George Lomax and Catherine Crompton. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Roger, George, James, Catherine, Mary, Betty and Alice.  He was the youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 58 in 1894.
