Mary was born in 1831 in Burwardsley and her baptism took place on July 10th, 1831 at All Saints, Harthill.1 2  Mary's father was William Lea and her mother was Catherine Sadler.  Her paternal grandparents were William Lea and Anne Kynaston. She had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John, Job, William and Frances.  She was the oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 90 on March 26th, 1921 in Tattenhall.  She was buried in March 1921 at All Saints, Harthill.1 1
