Frances was born in 1843 in Harthill.1   Frances' father was William Lea and her mother was Catherine Sadler.  Her paternal grandparents were William Lea and Anne Kynaston. She had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, John, Job, William and Mary.  She was the second youngest of the six children.
