Alfred Kay

Alfred was born in March 1845 in Elton.¹

Alfred's father was Peter Kay and his mother was Lucy Ward. His paternal grandparents were James Kay and Betty Moband (tbc). He had a brother and four sisters, named Thomas, Louisa, Alice, Ellen and Mary. He was the oldest of the six children.
