James probably married Betty Moband at Bury in Jan 1813. However, grandson Elijah suggests there may be earlier children.
Betty was alive in 1841, aged 64 at Burrs, Walmersley with her sons Peter (25) and William (22) and dau-in-law Mary (21) with Betty (1) and Mary (3 mo).
In 1841, William Kay married Mary Nash (nee Barlow) at Manchester Carthederal.
In 1851, Betty (75) was still at Burrs, Walmersley (Holcombe) with William and Mary (32 & 31) and Betty (12), Mary (10), and 4 more grandchildren
