Ellenor (Ellen) Jones

Ellenor, known as Ellen, was born in December 1845 in Turton.¹

Ellen's father was John Jones and her mother was Catherine Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Mary (Mally) Grime. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, William, Edward, Frederick, Ernest, Elizabeth, Alice, Fanny and Mary. She was the oldest of the ten children.

- In 1845, Birth registed as Ellenor Mather, as born before the parents marriage (same year).
  
  In 1871, Eleanor, 25, unmarried, was a cotton packer, living with her parents at Eagley, Turton.
  
  In 1879, Ellen Jones married William Church at Bolton St George (TBC).
