Sarah was born on December 21st, 1798 in Warrington and her baptism took place on June 2nd, 1800 at St. Elphin (Warrington).¹

Birth Notes

Sarah's father was Peter Jackson and her mother was Sally (Sarah) Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Henry Mather and Sarah Clare. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Henry, James, Peter, James, Richard, John, William, Martha and Mary. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.
