Samuel Hopley

Samuel was born in 1804 in Shocklach and his baptism took place there on December 23rd, 1804.¹²

Samuel's father was Charles Hopley and his mother was Mary Poovah. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Catherine Lewis. He had five sisters named Elizabeth, Ann, Catherine, Mary and Emma. He was the fifth oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 66 on October 12th, 1870 in Farndon.³
