Richard Hopley

Richard was born in December 1821 in Is-y-Coed and his baptism took place on December 30th, 1821 in Malpas.¹

Richard's father was Richard Hopley and his mother was Elizabeth Shone. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Jane Shone. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, George, Samuel, Joseph, Anne, Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah, Jane and Martha. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 70 in March 1892.
