Mary Hopley

Mary was born on July 14th, 1819 in Is-y-Coed and her baptism took place on February 14th, 1820 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).¹

Mary's father was Richard Hopley and her mother was Elizabeth Shone. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Jane Shone. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Richard, George, Samuel, Joseph, Anne, Elizabeth, Sarah, Jane and Martha. She was the third oldest of the eleven children.

- In 1841, Mary may have married Thomas Jones at Malpas, although an Ancestry member has Mary marrying Allen Harper:
