John Holt

John was born in 1837 in Turton.¹

- Aged 4 in 1841 at Dimple, Turton

John's father was John Holt and his mother was Sarah Halliwell. His paternal grandparents were George Holt and Betty Bentley. He had three sisters named Ellen, Mary and Esther. He was the second oldest of the four known children. He died at the age of 50 in 1887 in Bolton. His burial was in 1887 at Egerton.²

  In 1881, John and Sarah J (44 & 43) were at 266 Waterloo Street. Peter had died. Richard Chipendale (30) and John (52) were boarding with them.
