Annie's father was William Hodson and her mother was Elizabeth Hannah Chadwick. Her paternal grandparents were William Hodson and Maria Collins. She had a brother and two sisters, named Joseph, Doris and Phyllis. She was the third oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 96 on May 5th, 2005 in Bolton.²
