Betsey Grundy

Betsey was born in March 1844 in Little Hulton and her baptism took place on April 21st, 1844 in Worsley.¹²

Betsey's father was James Grundy and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Ellis Mather and Ann Thornley. She had five brothers and a sister, named Ellis, James, John, John, William and Ann. She was the sixth oldest of the seven known children.
