James and Betty were married in a religious ceremony on February 10th, 1828 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Eccles) by Vicar Thomas Blackburne and witnessed by Thomas Turner & Ellis Mather.2 They had five sons and two daughters, named Ellis, James, John, John, William, Ann and Betsey. The family line is yet to be completed.
