Fanny Garside

Fanny's father was William Garside and her mother was Margaret (Peggy) Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Sarah Jackson. She had three brothers and five sisters, named James, John, William, Sarah, Elizabeth, Mary, Ellen and Margaret. She was the oldest of the nine children.

- In 1868, Fanny Garside married William Hutchinson, a joiner from Tottington, at Bury RO.
  
  In 1871, Fanny and William were living at Doffer Fold (next to her parents) with two children.
