James Fogg 
James was born in 1870 in Stalybridge.1 James' father was James Fogg and his mother was Maria Mather. His paternal grandparents were John Fogg and Harriet Rosthorn; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Isherwood. He had three brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Samuel, Ellen, Christiana, Harriet, Susannah and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the nine children.
