James Fogg

James was born in 1827 in Bolton and his baptism took place on September 23rd, 1827 at St. Peter's (Bolton).^1 2

James' father was John Fogg and his mother was Harriet Rosthorn. He had a brother named William.  He was the older of the two children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, Thomas, Benjamin, George and Christiana.  He died at the age of 45 in December 1872 in Dukinfield.³

‌James and Maria were married in a religious ceremony in December 1850 at Christ Church, Egerton (Bolton).⁵   They had four sons and five daughters, named John, William, James, Samuel, Ellen, Christiana, Harriet, Susannah and Elizabeth.  There are no more children.
