Thomas Mather (50) was at Balshaw Street, Bolton West in 1841 with (assumed) daughter Maria (11). His wife Margaret (of G.B.) had died in 1835 aged only 36. Margaret was a widow when she married Thomas, so both may have had earlier marriages.
It is another Thomas Mather (born about 1803) who married Margaret Tinsley in 1825.
