Emma was born in September 1848 in Wrexham.¹

Birth Notes

Emma's father was Thomas Eddowes and her mother was Ann Jones. Her paternal grandparents were Ralph Eddowes and Abigail Blythen. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, William, George, Edmund, Alfred, Arthur, Abigail, Elizabeth and Emy. She was the second oldest of the eleven children.
