Hermann Hinrich Christopher, probably should be Hermann Heinrich (or Henrich) Christopher Dittmer (same as his brothers)
In 1891, living at 45 Ascot Street, (Scotland ward), Liverpool.
In 1901, living at 63 Lambeth Road, Birkdale.
In 1907, Chris Dittmer applied at Birkenhead for a British Seaman's ID card, so was probably working as a ship's carpenter at sea.
In 1911, living at 93 Stanley Road, aged 22, a carpenter for the White Star Line (so probably a ship builder or merchant seaman).
Val Hawkyeard (RootsWeb) has him as Herman Henry Christopher (b.1889), who was her grandfather.
In 1921, Herman Henry Christopher, Elizabeth, Margaret and 5 others are on the census at West Derby, Liverpool.
In 1939, Herman was doing heavy work as a Shipwright.
In 1951, when Harold died (ie killed), his effects were left to Christopher Dittmer shipwright. This presumably was his father. Hermann's wife also records him as a shipwright in her 1961 probate record. Elizabeth Ann Walker (sister) also left her estate to him (£1656 in 1952).

Harold was a bit of a lad. He used to hang on the outside of the Tram, presumably to avoid paying the fare. This was the undoing of him, as one day when the tram was going around a corner, he swung out and hit his head on a lamp-post. The injury was fatal !
