Abraham was born in 1788 in Berry Brow and his baptism took place on December 25th, 1788 in Longwood.1  Abraham's father was James Crosland and his mother was Sarah Ellam.  His paternal grandparents were James Crosland and <Unknown>. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, Joseph, James, Betty, Mary, Martha, Martha and Sarah.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 3 in February 1791 in Berry Brow.  He was buried on February 26th, 1791 in Almondbury.2 2
