Ann Chamberlain 
Ann was born in 1857 in Upton by Chester.1 Ann's father was Joseph Chamberlain and her mother was Ann Hopley. Her maternal grandparents were Samuel Hopley and Mary Saunders. She had two sisters named Emma and Mary. She was the oldest of the three children.General Notes
In 1871, Ann aged 14 was a general servant for Elizabeth (56, Wid, farmer) and her son Joseph Beucroft (18) at Upton by Chester.
In 1881, Ann aged 24 and niece, was a domestic servant for her aunt Jane Griffiths (53), a publican at Runcorn, born Worthenbury, Flintshire, Wales. In 1871, Jane Griffiths (44) was married to John Griffiths (39, born Dunham the Hill, Cheshire). Probably not an Aunt on the Hopley side. Jane was probably Jane Boot daughter of Daniel who married John Griffiths 28 Dec 1852 and St Mary, Chester.
In 1882, Ann CHAMBERLAIN married Samuel SMITH at Runcorn, All Saints, Halton (C12/6/284)
