Edward Brook (Jepson)

Edward was born in April 1845 in Almondbury.¹

Edward's father was Samuel Brook and her mother was Betty Jepson. Her paternal grandparents were Job Stocks and Lydia Brook; her maternal grandparents were Jonathan Jepson and Martha Beaumont. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Luke, Francis, John, Ann and Martha. She was the oldest of the six children.

General Notes
- Birth registered Q2-1845 as Edward Jepson, so born just before Samuel and Betty married.
  
  In 1861, Edward was 16 and still at school.
  
  There is no GRO birth record for Samuel Brook, so possibly an adopted or illegitimate child.
