Olive's father was John Joseph Brockbank and her mother was Hanna Robina Lea. Her paternal grandparents were John Brockbank and Mary Ann Kenna. She had a brother and a sister, named Sidney and Florence. She was the oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 29 in April 1941 in Wallasey.²
