John was born in April 1819 in Wybunbury and his baptism took place there on April 20th, 1819.¹

Birth Notes

John's father was Joseph Galley and his mother was Ellen Brereton. His maternal grandparents were John Brereton and Ellen Latham. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, William, George, Ellen and Mary. He was the oldest of the seven children.
