Jane was born in September 1650 in Brereton cum Smethwick and her baptism took place there on September 11th, 1650.¹

Jane's father was William (William II) Lord Brereton and her mother was Rt Hon Elizabeth Goring. Her paternal grandparents were Sir John Brereton and Lady Anne Fyton. She had six brothers and six sisters, named William, Henry, George, John, John, Richard, Mary, Anne, Elizabeth, Margaret, Elizabeth and Frances. She was the youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 69 in May 1720 in Nantwich. Her burial was on May 14th, 1720 in Nantwich.²
