George Brereton

George was born in 1638 in Brereton cum Smethwick and his baptism took place there on August 18th, 1638.¹

George's father was William (William II) Lord Brereton and his mother was Rt Hon Elizabeth Goring. His paternal grandparents were Sir John Brereton and Lady Anne Fyton. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named William, Henry, John, John, Richard, Mary, Anne, Elizabeth, Margaret, Elizabeth, Frances and Jane. He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 45 in 1683.²
