James Brereton

James was born in 1774 in Bridgemere.¹

James' father was Samuel Brereton Jnr and his mother was Mary Green.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Brereton Snr and Mary Whittingham. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, George, Thomas, Samuel, Hannah, Mary, Jane, Anne and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth youngest of the ten children.  He died as an infant at the age of 1 in February 1775 in Bridgemere.  He was buried on February 12th, 1775 in Bridgemere.^2 2
