Frances, known as Fanny, was born in August 1832 in Betley and her baptism took place there on August 25th, 1832.¹

Birth Notes

Fanny's father was Thomas Brereton and her mother was Sarah Jones. Her paternal grandparents were George Brereton and Margaret Taylor. She had two brothers and five sisters, named George, Charles, Mary, Margaret, Elizabeth, Maria and Sarah. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She had a half-sister named Margaret.
