Ann's father was Joseph Brereton and her mother was Sarah Reay.  Her paternal grandparents were John Brereton and Ellen Latham. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William, George, James, Betty, Mary, Hannah, Sarah and Martha.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 7 in February 1830 in Walgherton.  She was buried on February 25th, 1830 in Wybunbury.¹
