Sarah's father was John Bolton and her mother was Sarah Roscow. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John, <male>, Elizabeth, Ann, Alice, Dorothy and Alice.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 5 in April 1791 in Harwood.  She was buried on April 9th, 1791 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹
