Alice was born in December 1788 in Harwood and her baptism took place on December 25th, 1788 at Bradshaw Chapel.¹

Alice's father was John Bolton and her mother was Sarah Roscow. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John, <male>, Elizabeth, Ann, Sarah, Dorothy and Alice.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 2 in April 1791 in Harwood.  She was buried on April 26th, 1791 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹
