Daisy's father was Harry Bayley and her mother was Ellen (Nell) Brown. Her paternal grandparents were Augustus Henry Bayley and Mary Bunnell; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Brown and Mary Ann Postans. She had three brothers and a sister, named Tom, Gus, Arthur and Helen. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 80 in December 1982 in Chester.²
