Fanny was born in 1859 in New Weri, Glocestershire.1   Fanny's father was Richard Ward and her mother was Ann.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Ward and Sarah. She had two brothers and five sisters, named James, Alfred, Mary, Hannah, Sarah, Louisia and Ellen.  She was the youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 4 on June 5th, 1863.  The funeral took place on June 5th, 1863 in Lydbrook.2 2
