Edith Loretta, known as Lotsie, was born on November 7th, 1881 in Whitehaven, Cumberland, Cumbria, England. Lotsie's father was John Renton and her mother was Edith Marr. Her paternal grandparents were John Renton and Hannah Siddell. She had a brother and two sisters, named Norman, Sybil Colquhoun and Avice Marion Bruce. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 93 in 1974 in Sunderland, Durham, England.-
