James Hewitt 
James was born in 1890 in North Walsham, Swanton, Norfolk, England. James' father was Robert Joseph Hewitt and his mother was Charlotte Catherine Girdlestone. His maternal grandparents were George Girdlestone and Mary Ann Doughty. He had three brothers and six sisters, named John, Robert, Earnest, Agnes, Beatrice, Alice Maud, Lily, Agnes and Matilda Ellen. He was the second youngest of the ten children.-
