Earnest Hewitt 
Earnest was born in 1885 in North Walsham, Swanton, Norfolk, England. Earnest's father was Robert Joseph Hewitt and his mother was Charlotte Catherine Girdlestone. His maternal grandparents were George Girdlestone and Mary Ann Doughty. He had three brothers and six sisters, named John, Robert, James, Agnes, Beatrice, Alice Maud, Lily, Agnes and Matilda Ellen. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.-
